‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that we finally found out what has been wrong with baby Dominic and it sounds pretty serious. He has a rare blood disease and is going to need a bone marrow transplant. This obviously has Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd), and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) very worried.

Though, there was a little bit of good news. While Abby was only half a match for Dominic, Devon ended up being a perfect match to be Dominic’s donor. However, this has brought more questions into the fray about Devon’s involvement in being Dominic’s ‘biological’ father.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Baby Dominic Needs A Bone Marrow Transplant – Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) Is A Match?

According to the doctor that they spoke to, the parents are usually not matches for bone marrow transplant and in worst-case scenarios are only half matches. While it’s not ideal, they explained that it can still be successful. Though we found out that Devon is a perfect match, leading to speculation that he’s not actually Dominic’s biological father.

While it could still be possible for him to be a match as the father, it’s very unlikely.

In the meantime, it looks like it’s going to be a rough time for Dominic. Even though Devon can be a donor, a bone marrow transplant sounds like it would take a lot of someone, especially a baby. We hope Dominic is going to be alright, but in a terrible twist of fate, it would be horrible to see him pass.

We wish the best for Dominic and hopefully, the transplant goes well. Maybe Abby will finally tell her family about the terrible news.
