‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is catching onto Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) lie about receiving treatment from a hospital in Peru. So much so that Ashland has felt the need to bring it up to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
At first, she’s noticeably angry about him keeping stuff from her, however, she ends up forgiving him, AGAIN! Ashland is playing Victoria like a fiddle and the only thing that will bring him down is Victor and Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc).
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) Bringing Up More Lies To Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) – He Continues To Play Her
He knows exactly what he’s doing and knows exactly what to say to Victoria for her sympathy. How much longer will the charade last and is there any chance that Victoria can see through his lies already? She’s been spoon-fed these absurdist stories long enough, isn’t she getting a little curious about why he has an answer for everything and continues to hide things from her?
Victor, on the other hand, is going to continue to lay it on thick and is almost warning Ashland that something is coming. If I were Victor, I would be playing it cool until I had all of the pieces put together. Now he’s letting Ashland begin to build up a defense and Victoria is already biting on it.
At the same time, I think we can also admire how Robert Newman has stepped into the role of Ashland Locke without missing a beat. He does seem to overplay Ashland a touch, whereas Richard Burgi was much more calm and calculating, Newman almost feels like a gangster. I look forward to seeing what happens one way or the other.
