The nominees for the 52nd Daytime Emmys have been announced. We’ll give you the scoop on who was nominated and who we feel was snubbed.

First, let’s get the really disappointing news out of the way: Beyond the Gates isn’t yet eligible for scoring nominations for this year’s show.

Sadly, Beyond the Gates Wasn’t Eligible For This Year’s Daytime Emmys: Better Luck Next Time!

BTG premiered in February 2025, which falls outside the nomination window. Nominations are only eligible if the material was aired between January and December 2024.

Karla Mosley, who plays Dani Dupree on BTG, is the most entertaining character on the show. Mosely had done some incredible work. She’s definitely a shoo-in for next year!

'Beyond The Gates' Spoilers Dani Dupree

The Outstanding Leading Performance In A Daytime Drama: Actress for the soap, The Young and the Restless, includes Sharon Case, who plays Sharon Newman; Michelle Stafford, who plays Phyllis Summers; Eileen Davidson, who plays Ashley Abbott; and Melissa Claire Egan, who plays Chelsea Lawson.

The other actresses nominated in this category include Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer on General Hospital, and Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis.

Alexis says goodbye to her beloved daughter Samantha

As much as we love Carly Spencer, we feel that Nancy Lee Grahn played Alexis’s heartbreak beautifully when her daughter, Sam McCall, died. Due to her outstanding performance, Nancy Lee should be awarded this year.

The Consensus Is That Days Of Our Lives’ Susan Seaforth Hayes Has Been Robbed Of A Daytime Emmy Nomination

Now, Susan Seaforth Hayes, who plays Julie Williams on Days of Our Lives, was deserving of recognition for her work when her late husband, also featured on the soap and in real life, passed away. The death of daytime legend Bill Hayes was a significant loss.

Hayes played Julie’s husband, Doug Williams, on the soap. She delivered a tour-de-force performance. It was emotionally powerful and devastatingly real.

Seaforth Hayes broke Days fans’ hearts as Julie mourned the death of her beloved husband. The quiet but dignified scene Julie shared by Doug’s bedside after he had passed was particularly moving. We feel Seaforth Hayes was robbed of the recognition she deserved.

The Outstanding Lead Actor in A Daytime Drama: Actor for the soap Days of Our Lives, is rich with nominees. Eric Martsolf, who plays Brady Black, Greg Rikaart, who plays Leo Stark, and Paul Telfer, who plays Xander Kiriakis, are all nominated.

For The Young and the Restless, Peter Bergman, who plays Jack Abbott. For General Hospital, Dominic Zamprogna, who plays Dante Falconeri.

Supporting Actor And Actress Categories Included A Couple Of Surprises

The Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama includes, for The Young and the Restless, Susan Walters, who plays Diane Abbott, and Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra.

The Outstanding Guest Performance for a Daytime Drama includes, for The Young and the Restless, Linden Ashby, who played Cameron Kirsten, and Valarie Pettiford, who plays Amy Lewis. For The Bold and the Beautiful, Clint Howard, who plays Tom Starr.

For General Hospital, Avery Kristen Pohl, who played Esme Prince, and Alley Mills, who played Heather Webber.

The Outstanding Daytime Drama Series nominees include General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless.

The Exceptional Writing Team nominees include General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless.

The Outstanding Casting nominees include General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless. Other nominees include Making Good and Start Up.

Interestingly, The Bold and the Beautiful is the odd man out in the Daytime Emmys game this year.

Was there anyone you would have liked to have seen nominated for a Daytime Emmy who wasn’t? Do you agree with all the choices as nominations? Were there any nominations that shocked you?
