British Royal Family News says that 2020 certainly has not been a good year for Prince William and Prince Harry. Not only did things start off on the wrong foot with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to leave the royal family, but the fact that the entire world has been dealing with the global pandemic that has been the coronavirus certainly hasn’t helped, either. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal author and expert Robert Lacey, who recently documented the royal brothers’ feud in his book, Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family In Tumult, says that time, distance and the pandemic has made the situation between Prince Charles’ two sons worse in recent months.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lacey says the fact that Harry and Meghan can’t travel because of the pandemic has had a negative impact on the two brothers trying to repair their relationship.
“When [Harry and Meghan] left in March, they were committed to coming back in the summer for the queen’s birthday and all the celebrations that go with that,” he explains. “They were committed to coming back in the autumn for various military occasions that meant a lot to Harry and that has not been possible, so it may well be when and if life gets back to normal, the brothers can spend more time together and these fences could be mended.”
However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be opportunities for William and Harry to try and work out their differences in the future.
“In Britain, we all hope there will be some sort of coming together that will require compromise on both sides or the alternative is that they decide … that as brothers, we’re going to go our own separate ways,” he also says. “Next July the 1st, both brothers have promised to be in Kensington Palace gardens to celebrate the 16th anniversary of their mother’s death with a statue they have commissioned for Diana. They are going to be there … Prince Charles is going to be there, presumably, presumably Camila will not be there and the world will be looking at them and the world will want to know.”
