    ‘The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: Bach Nation Reacts To Clayton Echard As the New Bachelor

    ‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers find that Michelle Young’s Season 18 started on Tuesday night and, while Bachelor Nation is rooting for Michelle to find love, there’s one person we know she won’t be giving her final rose to, and that’s Clayton Echard.

    Unless you have not had access to the internet for over month, you will know that Clayton has been selected to be the 26th Bachelor and is currently filming his season. Producers has sworn black ad blue that Clayton is THE man to pull The Bachelor out of its slump of truly unworthy lead men. Seriously, has anyone been satisfied with a Bachelor since season 17’s Sean Lowe…or maaaaybe season 20’s Ben Higgins?

    ‘The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: Bach Nation Met Their New Bachelor Last Night and…Meh.

    As imagined, Bachelor Nation was waiting with bated breath when Clayton was introduced- first to audiences via an intro package and secondly to Michelle.

    And survey says…meh.

    Clayton is a 28 year old salesman from Missouri. In the grand tradition of Bachelor contestants, Clayton is an ex NFL player- or at least he got to sniff the grounds at the Seattle Seahawks stadium. And…he likes to be spanked with a ruler.

    That’s it, that’s all he gave us

    The ruler schtick was his gimmick to be remembered during the limo entrances, and that was as much of his personality that we got to see. We suppose it’s nice he wasn’t shoved down our throats. Maybe production has realized its Michelle’s show, not Clayton’s, or maybe they know they have plenty of weeks to give us an Echard Overload.

    It was only the first night. But with so much hype from EP Mike Fleiss and team about the next Bachelor lead, Bachelor Nation, predictably, has thoughts.
