Operación Pacífico spoilers reveal that Telemundo is embracing the irony. The series, which will premiere in 2020, will star several familiar Telemundo faces. Two of these in particular are lead actors Majida Issa and Mark Tacher. But they’re definitely taking a wild turn from their last roles.

Fans of El Final del Paraíso (End of Paradise) and the rest of the Paraíso franchise will recognize Issa. She played Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán until the last few episodes of Season Three when Kimberly Reyes took over. For those who haven’t see the show, Diabla is a dangerous drug trafficker who has been infiltrated into the DEA. She eventually left the position after seducing Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta) and becoming his Primera Dama. This character has turned in one husband to the DEA, used jumper cables on another to kill him, kidnapped countless characters, killed others, and ordered others killed. Definitely not Telemundo protagonist material.

By contrast, Operación Pacífico spoilers reveal she’ll be playing Captain Amalia Ortega on this series. She’s looking to take down a drug trafficker and end corruption. Her journey sounds like it’s going to be a crazy ride.

    Operación Pacífico spoilers: More twists

In another crazy casting twist, she’ll be assisted by partner Gabriel Pedraza, played by Mark Tacher. La Reina del Sur fans will remember him as playing Alejandro Alcalá, a DEA agent on the darker side of the law. He was part of a plot to kidnap Teresa Mendoza’s (Kate del Castillo) daughter to force her cooperation. Along the way, he had no problem with a little murder and other shady dealings to accomplish his goals. This is going to be an interesting change of pace.

Another interesting aspect of the series is, it will reunite Issa with actress Johanna Fadul. Fadul played Diabla’s daughter for a couple of seasons before her character, Daniela Barrera committed suicide. She beyond distraught after losing a beauty title to arch enemy Catalina Marín Santana (Carolina Gaitán). It’s unclear at this time what role Fadul will play in this series, but we’re low-key hoping it will be as the daughter of Issa’s character. Odds are good on that, as Operación Pacífico spoilers reveal her character’s name is Mariana Ortega. Whatever role she plays, it will be interesting to see if she ends up being on the good or bad side.

    Operación Pacífico spoilers: Other details

The 60-episode series is currently filming. It will be filmed in multiple locations, and is sounding like it will be yet another ambitious project for the network. Other familiar faces joining them include Jorge Zárate (Abraham Quintanilla, El Secreto de Selena), as well as Christian Tappan (Willy Rangel) and Emmanuel Orenday (Danilo Márquez) of La Reina del Sur.

As a published and accomplished writer, she knows how to get into the minds of the writers and is usually bang on in predicting plot twists before they come to life.
