Chelsea Houska has opened up on whether she would consider having more kids with her husband, Cole DeBoer.
‘Teen Mom 2’: Will Chelsea Houska And Cole DeBoer Have More Children?
Chelsea, for her part, is already a mother to four children: Watson, Layne, Walker and Aubree (with her ex Adam Lind). Given that she has spoken on how motherhood can be very taxing, Chelsea has cast doubt on whether she will be having more children in the future.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “This is the most asked question that we always, always get, if we’re gonna have more kids. Do we think we’re gonna more kids? I would say we don’t think we’re gonna have more.”
While that was an affirmative answer ruling out children, Cole was a bit more open-minded about it all. He has always expressed his desire to have as many children as possible, and given by his following comments, he has left the door open should Chelsea feel like changing her mind.
He stated: “But you know if we do, we do. But yeah, who knows?” One of the reasons why Chelsea may feel like this is the criticism she has received in the past when announcing her pregnancies. This has been, in part, due to the fact that she has been on Teen Mom 2.
Although that has had the added benefit of improving her profile and brand, fans forget that Chelsea has grown up a lot during the years. Therefore, the perception of her as being a Teen Mom forever is not accurate.
In a prior interview with Us Weekly, she stated: “There’s always the comments that are like, ‘She’s pregnant again? I think a lot of people still consider or think of us as being these young or teen moms. I was like, ‘I mean, I’m married.’…People just don’t realize that we are almost 30…we’re not teenagers anymore.”
With the pandemic providing major uncertainty for many families around the world, it is probably unlikely that the couple will have any more children. Regardless, we wish the family well in whatever decision they decide to opt for, and their fans will be there to support them too.
