It’s safe to say that Sharon Osbourne is not having a really good week. Not only was she accused of calling Julie Chen “slanty eyes” but apparently she also called her “wonton” behind the scenes at The Talk, too. Sharon has now gone on the record to deny both allegations.
A rather feisty Sharon told the Daily Mail, “Everyone’s got an opinion or a story like the wonton story. It’s like f–k off with your f–king wonton story. F–k off.”
She added that the accusation was “crap, all crap.”
Sharon Osbourne Says She Never Called Julie Chen A Wonton
Multiple sources, including Leah Remini, claim that Sharon referred to Julie, who is Chinese America, as a “wonton” and “slanty eyes” and to former co-host Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, as a “p—y licker.”
Sharon has been taking a lot of heat ever since she defended her good friend Piers Morgan, despite the fact that he questioned Meghan Markle and her mental health struggles.
During her interview with Oprah, Meghan said that she experienced suicidal thoughts during her time at Buckingham Palace. Sharon is now doing everything she can to defend herself.
“Did I like everything [Morgan] said? Did I agree with what he said? No, because it’s his opinion. It’s not my opinion,” she said amid tears at the time. “But why is it that because I supported a long-time friend and work colleague of mine for years that everybody goes, if you support him, then you must be racist because he’s racist?”
Sharon also said that the latest accusations are just a “pine-on.” “Everybody’s got an opinion and everybody’s got a voice – it’s fine,” Osbourne said. “It’s about knowing somebody’s been called out for something and then somebody else is like, ‘yes!! I’m going to add something too.”
