Sharon Osbourne sure has a whole lot to say, but at the same time she is being very careful with her words. The television personality recently opened up about the controversy surrounding her heated discussion about racism with her co-host, Sheryl Underwood.

Things got so bad that Sharon was forced to apologize for defending her friend Piers Morgan – despite his attacks against Meghan Markle – and even led the producers to put the show on hiatus. Here’s what you need to know.

Sharon Osbourne Is Not Sure How Her Future Looks Like

According to ET Online, Sharon opened up about where she stands today as far as her emotional debate with her co-host Sheryl Underwood is concerned. This came after she tried to come to the defense of her friend, Piers Morgan, and his controversial remarks about Meghan Markle.

Sharon later apologized on Twitter by saying, “to anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said.”

Yet, Sharon now believes that she might have been blindsided by her co-hosts and what had happened.

She believes her co-hosts “had preparation, they had written questions for them.” Sharon says that eight minutes before taping began, one of the showrunners did ask if she would be OK taking questions about Morgan and how she would feel if “maybe one of [the women] doesn’t agree with you.” To which, Sharon said, “I’ll answer whatever they want me to answer.”

Sharon recalled to ET Online, “Sheryl turns around and asks me this question and….she was reading it off a card. It wasn’t on my cards. And then Elaine [Welteroth]’s reading her questions and I’m like, ‘I’ve been set up.’ They’re setting me up. My anger was like, I cannot believe this, I’m your sacrificial lamb.”

With that said, Sharon is unsure what will happen to the show or if she will even return for that matter.

“I wish we could go on and have a adult conversation calmly and work it out but I don’t know whether we can,” she says. “I don’t know whether it’s gone past that. I would love to but I don’t know whether I even want to go back. … I don’t know whether I’m wanted there.”
