Sarah Ferguson says that she thinks her best friend Lisa Marie Presley might have died of a broken heart. As many of her fans know, her son Benjamin Keough died of suicide back in 2020. Here’s what you need to know. Sarah told Page Six in an interview, “I think she’s with Ben now.”
She also added, “I think we need to make sure Finley, Riley and Harper are fully supported going forward. She was so proud of them, so proud. She used to write to me saying, ‘Yeah, I’m really gushing at how wonderful my children are right now. Also, we’ve got to look after Priscilla now, don’t we?”

Apparently, Sarah and Lisa Marie struck up a friendship while the latter lived in Sussex, England, with her ex-husband, Michael Lockwood. The Daily Mail writes that Fergie and Lisa Marie first met in 2009 and that the singer and songwriter had even attended the Duchess of York’s 50th birthday party that same year.
Right after it was announced that Lisa Marie had died, Sarah was quick to share a throwback photo of them on her Instagram account. She wrote, “I say hello to you everyday and I love you my sissy and I will continue to say hello to you everyday. You were my sissy, an amazing mother to Ben, Riley, Harper and Finley and a superbly loving daughter to Priscilla. You have been my devoted friend for many years and I am here for your family to support and love them.”
Back in 2020, Sarah also shared a message to Lisa Marie following the death of her son, Benjamin Keough. She wrote at the time, “You stayed with me in my darkest moment and I am here in Yours .. love you my sister Lisa Marie .. wherever, whatever I am with you, in all steadfastness.”
In a statement, the Presley family said they were “shocked and devastated” by the news, which was announced on Thursday. Lisa Marie was rushed for medical treatment earlier the same day, though no further details were made immediately available.
