Queen Elizabeth is powering through. Sarah Ferguson has recently shared an update on the Queen’s health after Her Majesty recently suffered a sprained back and was forced to cancel her royal engagements and her public appearances for a much-deserved two week break. Sarah shared her update with the French magazine, Paris Match. Here’s what she has to say.
Fergie put it this way, “She is doing well. She is my icon. When I see her, I pinch myself to remind myself how lucky I am. She is an extraordinary woman.”

And while a lot of people might be wondering why Sarah Ferguson is even commenting on the Queen’s health to begin with seeing how she’s not really a part of the royal family anymore, back in September, she said that she made a commitment to her ex Prince Andrew through better or worse, marriage or divorce. In other words, she’s still acting like she’s the Duke of York’s wife, even though she really isn’t.
Speaking to Poland’s Polsat News, Sarah said that her wedding day to Prince Andrew was one of the best days of her life. She said, “I made a commitment that I will always live up to. When you make that commitment, you decide to marry a prince — and I fell in love with him. I kept my commitment, no matter what.”
She added, “People said: you got divorced. I’m divorced, not divorced … they don’t know how I feel. Divorce is one thing, but my heart is my oath, my obligation.”
Now, as far as what’s next for the Queen, she is taking things by stride and on a day by day basis. Watch this space.
