British Royal Family News suggests that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bullying might have came from a “clique of royal aides.” Apparently, there were some people behind the scenes who simply did not like the way that the Sussexes were operating. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Good Moring America in a new interview, author and royal history Robert Lacey, whose new book, Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family In Tumult, details the ongoing feud between the two princes, says that the problem began before Meghan Markle came into the picture. That’s because the monarchy has always had a problem with what to do with the “spare.”

Lacey puts it this way, “Harry came to realize in his teens that he was typecast as the court jester, the number two. They start off in the public eye as playmates, as co-stars with the heir. And what’s their destiny? To be pushed down the line of succession as babies come along, marriages come along. There was trouble with Margaret. There was trouble with Andrew. And now we have the same thing with Harry.”
However, Lacey does note that Meghan is a “megawatt woman” who inspired and transformed Harry’s life by encouraging him to take control rather than live by the rules of the monarchy. This prompted the couple to buck royal traditions, which ultimately led to them getting “edged out” by royal aides who didn’t like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rock star status.
Lacey continued, “This, coupled with concerns about Meghan and Harry overshadowing the most senior members of the firm – the Queen, Prince Charles, William, and Kate – prompted palace aides to work on ways to edge out the couple.”
