Rosario Tijeras spoilers reveal the series will soon return to the United States. Based on a book by Jorge Franco, the show follows a young woman who goes from mischievous schoolgirl to feared assassin following a series of tragedies. Here’s what you need to know about the series and its upcoming premiere.

    Rosario Tijeras spoilers: Background

We briefly mentioned this show while talking about novelas you need to see on Netflix. The story’s not new. Besides the book, Rosario came to life in 2010 when Maria Fernanda Yepes (Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso, José José, el príncipe de la canción) played the title role. It’s also been a movie before Univision did a remake. Unlike the original show, the story continues. They changed the ending so Rosario lives. Despite iffy ratings in the States that sent it packing to UniMás, the show has managed to survive on its new network.

    Rosario Tijeras spoilers: Premiere

The show already premiered in Mexico, as do a lot of Univision-related shows, but 2020 will see the show arrive here.  January 6th, to be exact. Currently, the network is getting viewers ready for the return by airing the first two seasons in the afternoons. From 3 PM to 5 PM Eastern, viewers can tune in to see what drama Rosario gets into next. When Season 3 debuts, we’ll likely see it start at 10 PM on weekdays. That’s the slot it’s had since its original airing on Univision.

    Rosario Tijeras spoilers: Controversy

The show has long been to focus of some controversy. Some objected to the narco novela genre, where drug lords are the focus. Even Yepes has had a change of heart and decided to stay away from the genre while also speaking out against some of the real figures these shows feature. In Rosario Tijeras, she’s not dealing drugs, but she’s worked for a narco.

For the remake, Bárbara de Regil took over the role. After a lot of twists and turns, Rosario was sent to prison for her crimes, but season 3 spoilers suggest she’s now on the other side of the law. In a similar twist to La Reina del Sur (Queen of the South), she’ll be forced to work with the authorities to take down the narco that fooled her last season to rescue her kidnapped daughter, Rubí. Get ready, because it’s sure to be a crazy ride.

As a published and accomplished writer, she knows how to get into the minds of the writers and is usually bang on in predicting plot twists before they come to life. When she’s not writing for Daily Soap Dish, Jamie binge watches telenovelas as a way to improve her Spanish. They also fuel her muse, which tends to upset her readers.
