You can’t blame her for being picky. There’s a new report that suggests Queen Elizabeth will only pick up the phone or return the phone call of two people, and no, they are not the two people that you are probably thinking about. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Page Six, the Queen will reportedly only pick up the phone for two people within The Firm, and neither one of them is her son and the heir to the throne, Prince Charles.
Queen Elizabeth Refuses To Return Anyone’s Phone Calls Except For These Two People
“Apparently, the Queen has two people who she speaks to the most on her phones and she also apparently has a mobile phone which is said to be Samsung packed with anti-hacker encryption by MI6 so nobody can hack into her phone,” revealed royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdoti while on The Royally US podcast.
“But the two people she phones the most is said to be her daughter Princess Anne and her racing manager John Warren.”
That’s certainly bad news for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who could definitely use the Queen on their side these days. But seeing how the Sussexes are not planning to return to the UK for Christmas – despite the Queen’s fragile state – it will be a long time before anyone within the royal family will pick up their phone calls again.
Royal expert Matthew Wright said, “There’s so much speculation. They’re coming over, they’re not coming over. They’re coming over to show the child, they don’t want to show the child. I know that when we had Cassidy, we wouldn’t contemplate getting on a long-haul flight for the first 18 months of her lives. Covid came along and denied us that chance anyway.”
He added: “Lilibet is five, six months old, I think it’s perfectly understandable they wouldn’t necessarily want to cross half the planet for Christmas.” It was reported just last month that the Sussexes would be skipping Christmas in the UK.
“There’s a lot that goes into the logistics and the planning of the family Christmas, so of course, staff know that Harry and Meghan are not coming,” one royal source told Page Six. “If they were, they would have communicated it to their family by now.
