So much for repairing this royal relationship. There’s a new report that says Prince Harry didn’t give his father Prince Charles a heads up about his memoir, sparking absolute “chaos” behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry is being paid a whopping $20 million to spill even more tea about the British Royal Family in his new book. And apparently, the royals found out about the news the same way the rest of the world did – and that was through the press.
“No one knew,” another royal insider said. “There was chaos when the Page Six story came out.”

However, some sources say that Prince Harry did inform his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, that he would be writing a book about his life, but at the same time he didn’t expect to obtain permission for a project like this from Buckingham Palace.
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for the internet to weigh in on the matter. Many fans and critics alike said, “I think he told the Queen when he was there and she kept it secret. I’m hoping she told him to go for it. I believe he promised to preserve HER legacy but he’ll spill all about his personal experiences with Charles and William,” along with, “As for not telling Charles… well, why would he tell Chaz? Charles told the Sussexes to sink or swim. They’re swimming.”
Another critic wrote, “I also think the queen probably doesn’t care that much at this point in time. She’s basically untouchable, there will be more perspective on her in decades to come but right now her image is pretty set. Harry is not going to bash her in this memoir.”
