Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be at Sandringham House, Queen Elizabeth’s country estate in Norfolk, to celebrate Christmas with the royal family this year. Harry tried to repair the rift between himself, King Charles, Prince William, and Princess Kate. However, it wasn’t enough to convince the King.
Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” Has Further Widened the Royal Rift
Omid Scobie’s bombshell book, “Endgame,” fractured the already delicate royal family. The royal racist row, in which King Charles and Kate Middleton were named the “royal racists,” really blew any chances Harry had of receiving an invitation for Christmas with his family.
Royal expert Tom Quinn said that Harry and Meghan hoped to “patch up” the damage to their relationship with the royal family. Harry was actually expecting to be extended an olive branch to come for Christmas.
William and Kate do not want to be in the same room with Harry and Meghan. They do not want to celebrate the most blessed day of the year with them. The Sussexes were dreaming to believe the royals would simply forget that King Charles and Kate’s names were drug through the mud.
Quinn also said,
“I suspect that because Harry is beginning to realize he needs the royal family more than the royal family needs him, he may well try to patch up the relationship as we get toward Christmas day.”
The royals have not invited Harry and Meghan to celebrate Christmas at Sandringham in the past three years. There are strong emotions involved with the situation.
Harry and Meghan have cried abuse, racism, and mistreatment from the royal family. They should have known they wouldn’t be eating Christmas dinner with the royals.
Harry and Meghan Are House-Hunting in the UK
There have been reports that Harry and Meghan have been house-hunting in the UK. They are searching for a viable home away from home. With this, they can come and spend time with the royal family when they are in England.
Harry’s idea was to look for houses, and the Sussexes were reportedly “divided” over the decision. It would undoubtedly give King Charles a better chance to get to know his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
While many would say that the holidays are a time for forgiveness and family, King Charles may want to have a peaceful Christmas and enjoy the holidays without all the drama surrounding Harry and Meghan. They may turn the holidays into a significant PR opportunity, and everyone has had it.
The royal family will make sure that William and Kate are front and center during the holidays, as King Charles will want everyone to know that he at least has a good relationship with one son and, of course, his son’s wife, Princess Kate.
Harry is unhappy, as he will miss all the royal family Christmas traditions, like playing football with his brother, Prince William, the black-tie dinner on Christmas Eve, the Christmas Eve gift exchange, and the game of charades after Christmas lunch.
Harry and Meghan will spend Christmas in Montecito, California, with their children, Meghan’s mother, Daria Ragland, and friends. The Sussexes and company will cook, play games, and exchange gifts.
The rift between the royal family members will be ongoing and expansive. For more soap opera and entertainment news, please visit again Daily Soap Dish,
