Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Unlikely To Stay With The Cambridges If They Come To The UK For Christmas
According to Express, if Harry and Meghan do return to the UK, they will most likely keep their distance from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Relations between the two couples just haven’t been the same ever since Harry and Meghan decided to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in January of 2020.
If that weren’t enough, Harry and Meghan’s epic interview with Oprah Winfrey sure hasn’t melted the ice between them and the rest of the royals, either. Yet, one royal expert believes that a trip back to Britain for the holidays “pave the way for a healing of the family rift” between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals.
Katie Nicholl told Closer magazine: “When Harry and Meghan left, they made it clear they didn’t want to give up their home in Britain. They still have Frogmore Cottage and their plan was to come back to the UK. Christmas is being looked at as an opportunity. There may be a softening, which could pave the way for a healing of the family rift.”
She added: “It’s certainly what the Queen wants. Prince Charles would like to see his grandchildren. A meet-up suggests they hope to move on and sort things out.” So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about their future travel plans.
