Just when you thought you’ve heard all of it, get a load of this. There’s a new report that says Prince Andrew was so obsessed with his teddy bears – all 72 of them – that some royal staff had to have special training as how to take care of them. And no, we are not talking about Prince Andrew from his younger years, but Prince Andrew as an adult. Here’s what you need to know.
One woman by the name of Charlotte Briggs told The Sun that when she started working for Buckingham Palace, she realized right away that Prince Andrew could be rather “demanding and entitled” when it came to his collection of 72 stuffed teddy bears.

One woman by the name of Charlotte Briggs told The Sun that when she started working for Buckingham Palace, she realized right away that Prince Andrew could be rather “demanding and entitled” when it came to his collection of 72 stuffed teddy bears.
She told the publication, “As soon as I got the job, I was told about the teddies and it was drilled into me how he wanted them. He absolutely loved the teddies and was very clear about how he wanted them arranged,” she said, calling it “so peculiar.”
Charlotte even said that she “even had a day’s training” because Prince Andrew was so demanding about the way they were supposed to be placed at his apartment at the palace. The Duke of York collected bears dressed as sailors in uniforms and caps.
“The teddies had to be in a particular order on his four-poster bed, from the biggest at the back, down to the smallest at the front,” Charlotte said, with the prince’s two favorite bears on “thrones” either side of the bed. “It took me half an hour to arrange them,” she insisted, calling it the “most bizarre thing to be paid for.”
Charlotte said there was one time that after she left a gap after closing his curtains he screamed at her, “Can’t you do anything f***** right?”
“I was thinking, ‘You want to shut your own curtains’ but you can’t say anything. You have to absorb it. It was awful and he brought me to tears,” she said. “It was utterly ridiculous but spoke volumes about him … He thinks he’s above everyone.” So far Prince Andrew himself has not made any comments about his teddy bear collection.
