Omid Scobie’s book, “Endgame” is an epic failure. It sold only 6,448 copies in England within the first week. Despite the publicity and controversy over the royal racist row, it still sold only a few copies.
“Endgame” Fails to Generate Sales
The book has fallen to 215 on the Amazon bestsellers list. Reviews of the book have been lackluster. The New York Times described the book as
“like a press release cooked up by ChatGPT.”
The book’s contents are nothing new, as it is similar to Prince Harry’s “Spare.” The book was an alleged firsthand account of what it is like to be part of the royal family.
Scobie’s book has received significant backlash for its endless tirade against the royal family and its pro-Sussex perspective.
The book named two royal family members who supposedly commented about Harry and Meghan’s son, Archie, and his skin color before he was born. Allegedly, King Charles and Kate Middleton are the “royal racists.”
The author insists that he wrote “Endgame” at “lightning speed,” despite announcing the book about the royal family more than a year before it was published.
Scobie’s first book, “Finding Freedom” sold 31,000 copies in the first week, and Harry’s tell-all memoir sold 400,00 copies in its first day.
Meanwhile, the Dutch copy of Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” is being auctioned off for charity. Royal expert and correspondent Rick Evers is selling off the translated original copy.
The proceeds from the book sales will go to a charity called Autersbond, which benefits writers and translators.
Dutch Version of “Endgame” On Auction
Evers took to social media and said,
“I have decided to have my copy of “Endgame” auctioned off for charity. It’s one of the few before it was banned, which played the leading role in the UK, US, Australian, and Canadian TV.”
Evers’s copy of “Endgame” is the last of its kind, as the reprinted and re-edited version would not include names.
Despite the author giving several interviews to various publications, including the Times and People, the book is only buzz-worthy but apparently not purchase-worthy.
Scobie is obviously very Pro Sussex and has always presented Harry and Meghan with the utmost sympathy. He is unofficially “Meghan’s mouthpiece” and only gives one side to the story. And that one side is usually full of lies.
Harry and Meghan must have given them information about the royals. The contents of the letter that was supposed to be “private,” and between King Charles and Meghan, has magically made its way into Scobie’s slimy hands.
One would think that with all the gossip and bombshells from the book, it would be flying off the shelves.
However, everyone has seen what they need to see, and there isn’t much point in buying the book and supporting an author who is biased and predictable, never once presenting a fresh perspective.
Harry and Meghan have yet to comment on the racist accusations, which speaks volumes to their character.
If the Sussexes ever intend to get back into the royal family’s good graces, they must be honest about their role in the rift and take responsibility for their actions.
