In a shocking interview, the Nigerian brothers who were paid by disgraced Empire actor Jussie Smollett to stage an assault on him have broken their silence and reenacted the incident to demonstrate how they made it appear genuine.
Abimbola Osundario and Olabinjo Osundario, brothers, detail precisely what transpired on January 29, 2019, when they challenged the former actor on the streets of Chicago in a segment for a FOX Nation docuseries on Smollett’s web of lies.
Smollett claimed that white supremacists had attacked him, yelling “This is MAGA country” and using the N-word, in an apparent attempt to pin the racism on former President Donald Trump.
Nigerian Brothers Who Were Paid By ‘Empire’ Actor Jussie Smollett RECREATE Fake Attack On FOX NEWS
Investigation later revealed that Smollett paid the brothers $3,500 to fake the attack, all in an effort to win the public’s sympathy.
He was given a 150-day prison term in 2021 after being found guilty on five felony charges, but he was later released to await the outcome of his legal team’s appeal. On January 29, at two in the morning, the siblings brought cameras to the location where they were waiting outside for Smollett on a bench.
“We had no phones because he did not want us to bring any phones,” Abimbola said. “He said, ‘So we don’t lose them.’ I don’t know if that’s really the reason, but you can deduce your own reason.”
The siblings claimed that Smollett‘s public comments about the incident left them in awe. In response to the hoax, the siblings told Fox Nation that the actor was “Insane. That’s when I really saw a different side of Jussie. Like, dude, really? This is when I knew that this dude was like a super villain.”
