Netflix‘s ‘Seaspiracy’ is a new documentary coming that aims to uncover the global corruption behind the fishing industry. It challenges the idea behind sustrainable fishing and how human actions are causing widespread environmental destruction.

The filmmaker behind it at times is even worried about his life, and is concerned that he could be putting himself in danger just to film this. Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Passionate about ocean life, a filmmaker sets out to document the harm that humans do to marine species — and uncovers alarming global corruption. Seaspiracy examines the global fishing industry, challenging notions of sustainable fishing and showing how human actions cause widespread environmental destruction.”

Viewers commented on the trailer, “Honestly, this is so needed. I’m glad Netflix covers topics like this”, “This is going to widen most of our minds on the war we’re waging against other species…..”, “Another Eye Opener for Human Beings!!!”, “This looks good, I love that Netflix covers this kind of stuff and brings it right to the front of everyone’s eyes!!” and “It is simple. If the oceans die, we die. There is no surviving on this planet with a dead ocean. We are killing the crew that is keeping the very life support systems on this planet functioning.”
