Reality shows are something that has been around forever and will be something that continues to live on for many years to come. The newest one comes from Netflix called ‘Demarcus Family Rules‘, as it follows Rascal Flatt’s bassist Jay DeMarcus, his beauty queen wife Allison DeMarcus, and their life bouncing between being parents, playing in a band and having fun.

While this is interesting, some viewers aren’t sold on the idea. Many voiced their opinions in the comments section, “This does look interesting and entertaining, but calling it reality seems to be a stretch. It comes across very scripted”, “I thought scripted reality shows were dead?”, “Yes I need another show watching rich people live”, and “This will be cancelled before we know it,” were just come of them.
It’s always hard to tell how a show will do, but this one does look a bit cringy. Of course, you may be a fan of Jay DeMarcus and this looks like the greatest thing ever. It’s completely up to you. Either way, it premieres on Netflix later this month, August 19.
