NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) have had a rough road. Obviously, things took a horrible turn when they reunited in Salem, only to have Allie mistakenly believe Tripp was the one who raped her and fathered Henry. Then, we saw some drama involving Chanel Price (Raven Bowens). But this latest makes us wonder if Tripp is heading for disaster.

First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal things were going well for Allie and Tripp. At least, Tripp thought so. Mindful of her trauma, they’ve been taking things at her pace. Unfortunately for him, he could resist saying those three little words out of nowhere.
This left Allie unable to respond and hugely apologetic. While she assured him it’s not a personal thing and she just never said that to anyone before, Tripp made an excuse to leave. He later confided in Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) about how he feels he messed it.
The situation made us think of Seinfeld and how one has to be sure of the “I Love You” return. Otherwise, you have a huge matza ball hanging out there. Seriously, we think these little moments are purposeful here. It’s getting too regular. Anyway, this leads to the real problem.

Later on, Allie confided in someone as well—Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). She confessed to having a dream of her, Chanel, and Tripp all in the same bed. So, while her excuse was pretty much truthful, she also left out a big part of the picture. And this is where we feel Tripp may be doomed in love.

We honestly think Allie is attracted to both of them. The thing is, the pull toward Chanel seems to be getting stronger by the day. She admitted to Marlena she was jealous over hearing Chanel was out with a guy. And we know that July 4th kiss was 100% mutual. We believe this scares Allie.
She admitted after Chanel kissed her spontaneously that she’d never kissed a girl before. So, these new feelings for Chanel are obviously confusing to her and she maybe can’t bring herself to confront them head-on.
Instead, it feels like she’s clinging to this thing with Tripp for more reasons than her obvious previous attraction. She’s also, we think, using him as a way to avoid exploring a relationship with her BFF. As we’ve seen in many shows and movies, that whole transition from friend to more can be messy.
There’s fear about what will happen to the friendship if the romance doesn’t work out. So, Allie’s situation definitely seems complicated and something she has to work through eventually. And we believe Tripp could possibly be on the losing end.
