NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) has both amused us while not impressing us since we were personally introduced to him. For example, we thought he was fun early on, but weren’t okay with how snobby he was regarding Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). In the latest episode, we saw something that proves Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was right about his uncle. Let’s take a look.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The pitch
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Johnny is motivated. Even though his dad refused to fund his filmmaking passion, he turned to someone else. Namely, Tony. Well, and Anna DiMera (Leanne Hunley). He mentioned his dream and had Anna already practicing her speeches for when the film becomes a hit. However, his moment was short-lived. During the conversation, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) stuck his nose in and ruined it all.
And by ruined it all, he threw his supposed weight around and demanded Tony and Anna not fund the project. Now, mind you, the whole time Johnny was talking, Tony never seemed to object in the slightest. And we all know how fast he is to please Anna. So, this was a bit odd.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Back peddle
Following EJ’s demand, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Tony looked like he might defy his brother. Who, by the way, seemed to be threatening Tony when he was going on about not allowing anyone to do something that would harm the company. And by harm the company, he means keep Johnny from taking his destined place. What did he end up doing?
He told Johnny that “now wasn’t the right time.” Sure, he made a little shot at EJ, but he still said no and left. So, EJ basically got his way. We didn’t like that he went from, “You forget who you’re talking to” to obedience. It makes Tony look weak. If Anna’s not calling his shots, apparently, EJ is. But there’s more.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Seriously?
At the end of the episode, we saw Tony return and he seemed to have a few things to say. We just believe he said them way too late. It seems a bit cowardly to go and tell off EJ when no one else is around to see it, rather than speak his mind right off. Plus, it gives the perception that EJ won and that it’s okay for him to just dictate his adult son’s life choices. Or get in the way of others helping him to reach his dream.
