NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that television can be a funny thing. Sometimes, things go wrong and scenes need to be cut short for time. Head writer Ron Carlivati recently shared a couple of those scenes online. While we didn’t see the actors portraying the story, we did get to see the scripts on his Twitter. One scene in particular caught our eye for a couple of reasons. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Touching moment
The first of the two scenes we have seen him share is what we think is the most significant. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal the action centered around Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). They met at the DiMera mansion after learning the chip inside Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) brain was DiMera property and now belongs to them. The scene had them discussing the situation and what to do before ultimately destroying whatever was left of Stefano. The dialogue was a fitting tribute to the character and his place in the DiMera family.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Cut scene leaves clues to the future?
Unfortunately, the powers that be deemed it something they could cut when time restraints got in the way. If he hadn’t shared it, fans might have just assumed an off-hand remark from Chad in another episode would be the end of this character. This is exactly why we don’t think Stefano is done yet.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Disrespect
If this truly was the end of Stefano, we think it’s a horribly disrespectful move. The character is iconic on the show, and even those of us who are new now that. The series made it obvious by having his picture so prominently displayed, as well as the regular scenes of people speaking to the image. The actor, and character, would deserve far more for a final farewell. Especially given the issues fans have had with the “new” Stefano.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s next?
The way the scene ends makes us believe that Stefano is still very much in the picture. In a recent episode, he spoke of a backup plan Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) was to carry out. A man who has risen so many times and was such a smart villain would have to have considered what ultimately went down. And we think it would be a further disservice to the character if there wasn’t a copy somewhere of that chip, or if the chip hadn’t been switched somehow. We’ll have to stay tuned to see what’s next, but we wouldn’t be shocked to see someone else filling his shoes one of these days. And when they finally do put this character to rest for good, we expect a bit more fanfare to follow than this.
