NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) has had a secret for the past few years. We’re going to just gloss over the obvious issues here. You know, the fact that he was harboring yet another patient for all this time that was not being personally monitored while he was in Statesville. This is DOOL. Things like that happen. However, we do have one big issue with this latest twist. And we believe it’s going to lead to a massive problem on two levels. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: He’s back…
So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate the speculation was true: Brandon Barash is now back to playing Stefan DiMera, following Jake Lambert’s (Barash) demise. Apparently, Dr. Rolf stole Stefan before he could be cremated and had him kept alive by machines. And, yes, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) did get Stefan’s heart. This was all revealed to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), much to her shock and amazement.
We don’t know what possible specific plans Dr. Rolf has for Stefan, when/if he’s officially revived. We do know, however, that Jake is going to be the reason his twin lives again. And we’re not sure how we feel about that.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Iffy situation
Okay, this is Dr. Rolf. It’s obvious he has no problem blurring lines of ethics. Still, we’re having a little trouble with his latest plan. See, despite Stefan being literally without a heart for four years and only technically alive from a machine, Dr. Rolf felt Stefan was still possibly savable one day. However, Jake is in a similar position as Stefan was when he “died”.
So, we find it kind of cold and weird that one freshly dead is deemed a lost cause while Stefan somehow still has a chance. Especially since he admitted to having told Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) there was nothing he could do. Given how he pointed out a twin’s heart would be the best match to avoid rejection, we feel like he’s almost wiping his hands of Jake to use him for spare parts. It feels ghoulish.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Problem gets worse
Now that we’re caught up, let’s talk about what could be. There are two huge problems here. One being having to choose between reuniting with the love of her life and leaving the man she’s now with. One who, of course, is also a partner in business.
This can’t bode well for a professional future between her and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). We also see tensions with her and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). After all, Gabi could get the love of her life back while Ava’s is gone. And she’ll have to see her lost love’s face around town all the time, which doesn’t bode well for her stability and future there.
Plus, let’s just take a moment to consider a possibility. What if she learns about all the years put into Stefan, only to write off Jake almost right away? And use Jake to bring someone else back? She is not likely to take that well. We’d suggest Dr. Rolf build himself a bunker to hide out…
