However, there is something that’s been set aside for now. And we’re curious how this new development will change things. Here’s what you need to know.

    First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate the DiMera board meeting didn’t go as expected. All involved assumed Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) would be out as CEO. In fact, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) were counting on it. However, it wasn’t to be. Not once Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) made a virtual appearance to cast her vote. And we still love how it’s in the bylaws that being a fugitive isn’t a problem when it comes to voting. Her father planned well.

    Anyway, Gabi was feeling pretty good about herself. She got her way and it seemed she had a new ally in Kristen. However, things took another turn.

    After the meeting was over, Kristen called in again. This time, she wanted to speak to Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) alone. And we have to say, we loved how he got all paranoid looking when he realized Kristen somehow knows exactly who is in the room and who isn’t. So, what did she want? It’s not a surprise for this family.

    After getting payback on Chad and EJ with her vote, she wanted to take things up a notch. It seems her goal is to work alongside Jake to get Gabi out. And we assume her in control of things. With Jake possibly being her mouthpiece, of course. For a moment, it looked like there was a chance this team-up might happen. But then tragedy hit.

    After Abigail’s death, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Jake stopped by to offer condolences to Chad. And sing Abigail’s praises, as she had been very welcoming to him. That moment of bonding and genuine sadness looked like it can be a turning point in their relationship. After all, when one’s gone through something like Chad just did, old resentments might not be at the top of one’s mind. In fact, it might make one more willing to let go of old grudges.

    And we think Jake might feel like Chad’s been through enough. He likely won’t want to add to things by stirring up more DiMera drama. Could this be the thing that brings the DiMera men together? We’ll see.
