NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) murderer was revealed this week. The revelation came from John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) hypnosis session. Did you miss the big reveal? The episode was, after all, preempted. If so, we got the answer here, and we’ll talk about what this means for one of Salem’s institutions.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The killer is…

First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal John was worried he’d actually committed the murder himself. That’s why he wanted Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to put him under hypnosis. And he did end up remembering the night Charlie died. He didn’t commit the murder—he witnessed it.

According to the recap we read, it seems that John remembered that red coat that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) became interested in as a gift to Belle Black (Martha Madison). So, he naturally said she did it, despite having only seen the back of the killer.

If the rest of this episode is to be believed, it’s Jan Spears (Heather Lindell). She stopped by the office after John’s session and had a mini confrontation with John and Marlena. Later, she snuck back in and listened to the tape. As she did, she remembered standing over Charlie in Belle’s coat.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The problem

There’s just one problem with this. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Jan was in a coma, thanks to John and his attack on her after Jan claimed she killed Belle.

A recent episode had Belle and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) getting informed the doctors felt Jan would be waking from her coma soon. So, how did she manage to be at Charlie’s apartment to do the deed? Let’s take a look at that a little more.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Why it could still make sense

So, a motive wouldn’t be an issue at all. Jan would love to see her rival behind bars for life. But there’s still that pesky coma situation. There’s no way, right? Then, we remembered.

University Hospital isn’t a shining example of competence at times. After all, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) declared there to be no hope at all for Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and nearly gave her heart away.

Plus, how many DNA test mishaps happened there? And let’s not forget how they stood by and did nothing while Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), a patient who’d undergone a huge head trauma, argued loudly right near the desk with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Given all that, and the fact Kayla managed to hide Marlena for so long to stop Belle from taking her off life support, we can see the doctors screwing up and not realizing Jan was actually awake.

And, again, people pull off all kinds of stuff in that place, so we can see a manipulator like Jan managing to slip out. We’re curious to see how this whole thing plays out, but we really think this place needs as bad a staff overhaul as the Salem PD at times. God help all those who enter its doors.
