NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that star Mary Beth Evans opened up about her character Kayla’s upcoming wedding to her on-screen love Justin and whether or not Steve might pull a number on them by declaring his love at the very last minute. In other words, it will be anything but a peaceful wedding. Here’s what you need to know.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, the beautiful blonde actress admits there might be a chance that Steve could be holding back his true feelings for Kayla, as she prepares to walk down the aisle with Justin. While everyone has been rather mature about this love triangle up until this point, there’s a strong possibility that Steve might end up giving Kayla something to think about right before she makes things official with her future husband.

Mary Beth puts it this way, “I think she’s on the edge, always. Like, if there was a glimmer of something different, maybe she would change her mind about things, but he doesn’t come forth with that. I tell my husband often and I tell my kids about this, too, about just communicating with your mate. I hate when you ask somebody, ‘What’s the matter?’ and they say, ‘Nothing.’ It’s like, why is it so hard for people just to say the truth and suffer the consequence? That’s like this, too. But he feels really guilty about all the things that he did when he didn’t know who he was. He doesn’t know if he can really trust himself. Because he loves me he’s going to send me on to this other relationship even though it’s torture. If he had been more truthful we maybe could have had a different story.”
She added, “In the old days, we used to always do scenes where you would face the camera and always show your emotions to the camera. If we were doing those these days it would be a lot of that! But it’s a story. And you know what? If you don’t have a conflict, you don’t have a story, and if you don’t have a story, you don’t work. That’s why people get so upset about stories, I think. But you like these actors and you like the characters, so you have to kind of ride the wave without getting upset. You can get upset a little bit, [but] ride the wave. It usually has a good outcome!”
