NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal there’s a lot of mystery surrounding Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). As the episodes go on, we’re learning more and more about him. Interestingly enough, we’re also getting connections to the family his “double” comes from. Let’s take a look at what we know and what might be going on.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What we know

So far, we know that everyone we’ve seen connected to Jake only came in contact with him after the death of Stefan DiMera (Barash). Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) was quick to use that information as an argument that she’s right. Whatever the case is, we should have answers soon. Gabi managed to hold on to her DNA samples through the recent kidnapping ordeal. On Friday, she delivered those samples to the hospital. Given how fast results can come back from that place, she just might have her answer soon.

Meanwhile, we’ve learned Jake was connected to the mob. From what they said on the episode, it sounds like he was a low-level guy, but fairly well-known to the boss’ right hand. He was obviously high enough to be able to get access to something to important as that book filled with contacts. We also know that Jake apparently didn’t want to be part of this, as he took that as insurance when he left.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Connections

Obviously, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal the big connection is how much Jake looks like Stefan. However, reading up more of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) gives more of one. He was more than just a villain. He’s listed on Days wiki pages as even more than a mobster—he’s considered an international terrorist, among other things. The fact he also does have connections to the mob is interesting to us. It seems way too much of a coincidence for Jake to be just Jake. Or for him to have shown up in these mobsters lives shortly after Stefan’s “death”. That makes us think he was intentionally connected with these people. But, why?

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s up?

The way we see it, there are a couple of options. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate that Stefano (Stephen Nichols) mentioned a backup plan shortly before he was changed back to Steve Johnson (Nichols). We already noted some strange behavior from Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), as well as a weird vibe from the Shins. This makes us believe Stefano’s plan was greater than anyone might realize. And it might be working.

All recent events seem to be going the way Stefano would want them to. His chosen son is still in charge at DiMera. Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi), who he hated, was drugged and now in a facility in Florida to recover from hallucinations. Chad’s back in Salem, and Gabi was framed by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay), making her appear to be the one who drugged Abigail. Again, this all doesn’t feel like pure coincidence.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Two options

We think Stefan is either hosting Stefano now and unaware of it, or he was spared out of fatherly love and sent to stay with someone Stefano knew. That would keep him out of their business, while allowing him to live. It also opens a new mystery as to whose heart Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) got. We believe that, if he’s Stefano, things were designed to bring him to Salem at the right time and we believe he’ll be given his memories back eventually.

However, either option leaves us with a vibe that Stefan will end up taking on a villain role. If he’s Stefano, obviously. And if he really is Stefan and was just sent away like that? Well, we’re pretty sure anyone would be furious. And they would likely want revenge. With Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) returning soon, we think she’ll be key to his story. Stay tuned to see where the writers go.
