NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Claire Brady has come a long way since her pyro days. We loved watching the complete unraveling of her character portrayed by Olivia Rose Keegan, as well as the shock and horror when she realize how far she went.
Her return to Salem showed a remorseful woman who almost appeared unbalanced in her attempts to get back into Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) good graces. But those “days” are long over, it seems. Let’s talk about the journey Isabel Durant has had so far in the role. Also, we’ll talk about the character development since the change.

First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Keegan’s Claire was trying just a little too hard. She practically begged to help with Ciara’s wedding. Unfortunately, she opened herself up to being framed by Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) in the process. But her vehement denials and obvious upset showed she had changed after her time in Bayview.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Self-hate
Her over-eagerness and shame soon devolved into self-hate. She was so ashamed of her actions, she once again left herself vulnerable. Claire internalized every bad word about Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), implying her parents were also condemning her.
Her state of mind was such that she couldn’t see the difference between her situation and Jan’s. We can’t remember if it was ever said to her, but we’re pretty sure she had to have found out Jan’s release was bought and paid for.
It didn’t matter, even if she knew. She still had a complex about this, feeling that if one person can make a mistake and be accepted again, so can another.
This led Claire to be used by Jan. Manipulated. Ultimately, Claire almost died because of having opened to door to Jan to begin with. Instead, she should have heeded everyone’s warnings and stayed far away. It looks like her brush with death at the infamous cabin finally have her that reality check.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Ciara vs. Claire
The proof of Claire’s evolution came in a recent episode. Ciara had returned to Salem to get a divorce from Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). To that end, she visited Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), hoping to get Belle Black (Marth Madison) to represent her. While there, she ran into Claire. And the claws came out.
Ciara went into instant attack mode when Claire questioned her judgment. She was cruel and insulting. A little while back, Claire might have taken every harsh word from her. She might have even started crying as she begged once more for forgiveness. Not this time.
Instead, Claire stood up to Ciara. She called her out on how cold Ciara is and went on about what a mistake she’s making. What’s more, she made one thing very clear. She hates what she did. She’ll regret it for the rest of her life. However, she is not going to grovel at Ciara’s feet anymore.
She’s done, and will not waste time on a person that isn’t even really Ciara. We were 100% on her side through the whole rant and the growth it represented. Here’s hoping that continues and they have even better things ahead for the character.
