NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the show may be off the air for the Olympics, but the news keeps coming. Recently, we learned about Beyond Salem and when it was coming to Peacock. Although, that last one was a bit of an accidental situation. Gotta love social media! It’s almost impossible to hide things now. Recently, there was even more news! NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Familiar faces
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal we have plenty of regular characters joining this spin-off series. Which, again, will be a five-episode deal. Let’s add to that list. According to reports, we’ll see Tony DiMera and Anna DiMera (Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley) in the new series as well. But that’s not all!
We’ll also see a couple faces that haven’t been in Salem lately. At least, not as recently as Tony and Anna. It seems Carrie Brady and Austin Reed (Christie Clark and Austin Peck). If we remember correctly, the last time we saw Carrie was at a family funeral where we learned things were not all well in her marriage. We’ll see how the writers handle their story. Should be fun to see how these characters all get pulled into the big mystery.

Meanwhile, there’s another addition to Beyond Salem we need to talk about. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal there’s a character we haven’t seen in a bit, as he relocated. This, of course, would be Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), who moved away with Will Horton (Chandler Massey) to start a new life and work on a good cause. We figured at least one person would play a part in this, as Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will be in the spin-off, visiting friends.
Well, according to the word online, Massey is definitely going to be in the series. And so will Sonny, although with a new face. We mentioned Smith said he wouldn’t be returning on his podcast, and it looks like the writers have decided to go forward.
They’ve apparently recast the role with actor Zach Tinker, who played Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless. We’re curious to see how this is going to go over, and if this might be a test run to see if they’ll incorporate the recast Sonny into the main show.

Finally, there’s another returning face. Eileen Davidson will also be in the spin-off. She used to be Kristen DiMera, so this should be interesting. They’re apparently keeping quiet on who she’ll play. Could she be filling in for Stacy Haiduk, or is this more permanent change? We’ll see. Of course, she could be playing a completely different character all together. Stay tuned to find out!
