Money Heist Season 5 spoilers say that it’s back and from what we can tell already, it’s more exciting than ever before. Netflix has confirmed the release date for the fifth season of the hugely popular crime caper, which is also known by its Spanish name of La Casa de Papel. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, Netflix says that season five will be broken up to two volumes. The first release date is on September 3rd with the second release date being December 3rd.
The series traces two long-prepared heists led by the Professor, one on the Royal Mint of Spain, and one on the Bank of Spain. The narrative is told in a real-time-like fashion and relies on flashbacks and hidden character motives.

The show’s creator, Alex Pina, explained the decision to split up the season by saying, “When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes. In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure.”
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for Money Heist fans to comment on the news on social media with a lot of them saying, “Wow! This look like it will be the season that they are in big trouble without the Professor. But I’m glad to see our Professor hasn’t died yet,” along with, “This is giving me so much anxiety but excitement at the same time. Can’t wait to find out what happens next but I can already tell we are in Endgame now.”
