Netflix’s White Lines have recently revealed the titles that streamers can expect to find on their service in May, and one show stood out more than most- White Lines. The streaming giant has quickly become the best place for thrilling crime dramas with ‘The Stranger’ and ‘Unbelievable’ keeping fans hooked from the first second.
That is set to continue next month when the hotly anticipated White Lines is released, and the expectations are high considering that it was written by La Casa de Papel’s writer Alex Pina. The trailer dropped only a few weeks ago, and viewers are already counting down the days until they can tuck into the upcoming release.
Netflix’s White Lines: What’s It About?
The trailer would have caught the imagination from the opening scene, with gorgeous backdrops on the Balearic Islands prominent throughout. White Lines will be a ten-part drama that follows an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of a famous DJ. The DJ, from Manchester, England, disappeared one summer while he was doing a season in Ibiza.
However, his body finally turns up 20 years later and members of his family demand answers for what really happened to their relative. His sister- (Laura Haddock) will be tasked with untangling the mystery of sex, drugs and deceit to find out who was really responsible for his death, and what really happened to her brother 20 years earlier. Viewers who loved Money Heist will certainly be intrigued to see Pina’s follow-up, and they won’t be disappointed.
Netflix’s White Lines: Who Is In The Thriller?
Laura Haddock will play the main role of the sister. Haddock rose to fame in The Capture, and has been a prominent face on the small and big screen after appearing in The Inbetweener’s and Guardians of the Galaxy. There is an awful lot of British talent in the thriller, with Line of Duty star Daniel Mays and Victoria actor Lawrence Fox also involved.
Marta Milians, Juan Diego Botto and Angela Griffin are also involved in the thriller. At present, not much is known about any of the characters in the series, but viewers will not have to wait much longer until they can watch. White Lines will drop on Netflix on the 15th May.
