Marc Anthony‘s disastrous global virtual concert has sparked a legal battle between the promoter and the streaming service… and things are getting heated. The promoter, Loud and Live, is suing streaming platform Maestro… saying the streaming service failed to uphold its half of the agreement in a virtual event that collapsed and burned spectacularly.

According to a new complaint received, Loud and Live approached Maestro about live streaming a Marc Anthony concert to a global audience during the epidemic, striking a deal after Maestro told Loud and Live that a feed with over 100,000 viewers could be handled.

Marc’s April 2021 performance live broadcast was a colossal flop, with fans all around the world moaning about gazing at nothing but a blank screen for hours until the singer ultimately pulled the plug. According to the documentation, over 100,000 people paid between $25 and $40 for the live feed, only for Maestro’s streaming platform to collapse totally.

Marc’s 90-minute live and taped concert was subsequently released for free the next day on his YouTube channel… the same day Loud and Live alleges it began offering refunds. Maestro rips loud and live… saying that the streaming service lied about its technological capabilities

Loud and Live claims it took significant financial damage by paying upfront fees to Marc and Maestro, then promoting and financially supporting the show before finally losing out on streaming revenues… So it’s suing Maestro for monetary damages. Maestro said, “we believe the claims are without merit and we intend to contest them vigorously.”
