‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers finds that Martine got all bent out of shape after a drinking game that she suggested they play “Never have I ever” went in the decidedly wrong direction. Basically, Steven’s friends ended up laughing at her (or at least that’s how it looked and probably felt) because they knew the entire history between her and Steven.
I think they were mainly giving him a hard time but that didn’t make things easier on Martine. However, when asked about Martine’s drinking game, Steven’s friends had a surprising answer.

They said that the game made everyone uncomfortable and one of Steven’s friends in particular said that Martine was “not his cup of tea” but they seemed to support Steven in whomever he wanted to be with. It seems that Steven’s friends don’t really like Martine, and honestly, she didn’t really vibe with them either.
In fact, while she wasn’t outright mean to them she was definitely aloof. Maybe it was because she felt humiliated or maybe it was because she went into this party tipsy and feeling a little vindictive because of the text messages that she had caught Steven receiving.

After the party, Martine made good on her word and came for Steven. She said that two years ago when he originally cheated on her she had caught the same type of messages on his phone. He maintained that he wasn’t doing anything, but he seemed a little defensive over someone who wasn’t doing anything.
He also claimed not to know who that person was that texted him – and indeed it could have been a random number, but to text “You up?” or “You awake?” implies some level of familiarity, so that part of the story does sound like a lie.
Steven is a DJ, so it could have been a promoter or club owner, but he also admitted that he regularly gets girls coming up to him and giving him their numbers, if a girl managed to get his number off say, his business card or something then it could very well be some random girl messaging him.
It could also be a wrong number, but somehow I just don’t think so, Steven was a little too angry and defensive about being caught with that text message. The thing is Martine already admitted to all of his friends that this trip is about figuring things out between them and if they can’t then she has no desire to be in a long distance relationship anymore. Steven might find himself single soon. Stay tuned!!!
