‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers indicate that, when Martine went to Barbado to see her man of 3 years, Steven, and basically asked him to make their relationship ‘diamond clear’, Steven balked on her. He wanted nothing to do with getting married or anything of the sort and seemed pretty angry when his little 6 year old daughter informed Martine that someday she would like a sister.
Apparently he thought that this “out of the mouths of babes” moment was somehow Martine’s fault, but she literally waited until after Sarai said anything to pose the question of him ever having more kids to him. He quickly said that he had not thought about having more kids, then in his confessional said that Martine keeps trying it make things difficult on him.
‘Love in Paradise’: But Apparently He Hadn’t Met His Own Family?
When they went to his family’s for dinner, Martine was not the one pushing the issue. In fact she was content not to even bring it up However his sister-in-law, Kimberly, decided to pose the question, “The future, what does that look like for you?” and then his brother and his Mom chimed in and they were all saying the same thing that Martine was.
That they all wanted to know what on earth the future was going to look like for these two because right now they live separate lies and they’re just wondering how the two will incorporate each other into their lives.
They really put Martine on the spot by interrogating her, they seemed to think that she was the one putting the brakes on but she’s not. She came to this trip with one goal in mind and that was getting an engagement ring out of Steven, so far, he has been the reluctant one.
They were also pretty insistent that Steven meet Martine’s Dad because Stephen had brought her home to meet them. She said the only man meeting her Dad would be the man she was going to marry and we can certainly respect that.
Steven’s family really needs to learn to read the room though. Either they’re making assumptions about Martine since she is not from where they live, or Steven has told them a bunch of stuff that isn’t true. I wouldn’t doubt either one, but let’s hope that things become ‘diamond clear’ for this poor confused girl soon. Stay tuned!!!
