‘Keeping Up With The Kardashian’ spoilers find that Kim Kardashian has gone on the record to say that yes, she makes more money on social media than she does in an entire episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. This comes after her own mother Kris Jenner said that social media literally killed her television reality show. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to David Letterman in an interview, Kim said that she certainly earns more posting on Instagram than she does showing the world her personal life in front of the cameras. While Kim has not confirmed just how much she makes online, it has been estimated that she gets anywhere from $300,000 to $500,000 per post, and sometimes even upwards to $1 million.

On the new show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, Kim said, “We would not be who we are today without Keeping Up With the Kardashians and that’s why we continue to share our lives. Even if, realistically, we can post something on social media and make more than we do a whole season.”

Meanwhile, Kim’s mother Kris says that social media is the reason why the family has decided to end Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kris believes that because so many of the Kardashian’s fans have been watching their family’s ups and downs play out in real time, this might be one of the reasons why KUWTK is no longer the ratings bonanza that it used to be. The Kardashian matriarch made her comments in a recent interview with WWD’s Beauty, Inc.

“When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms,” she said, referring to the show’s premiere in 2007. “The world has changed. Now there are so many, the viewer doesn’t have to wait three or four months to see an episode. We can give them all of the information anyone would ever want to know in real time.”
