British Royal Family News suggests that Kate Middleton’s rival Rose Hanbury might be behind the disastrous Tatler cover story that doesn’t shine a very bright light on the Duchess of Cambridge. While nothing has been confirmed or denied at this point, there are some blogs hinting that the ‘sources’ and ‘friends’ that helped contribute to the piece might include Kate’s former best friend, Rose Hanbury. Here’s what you need to know.
As many royal fans can recall, Kate and Rose had an ugly but also quiet falling out after there were some reports suggesting that Prince William might have gotten a little too up close and personal with the former model. While the future King of England has categorically denied all of the allegations, this hasn’t stopped the British and international media from speculating on what kind of relationship Prince William and Rose Hanbury, who is also married, had. Even though everyone involved say that all of the allegations are fictional and false, many royal observers have also noticed that it’s been a very long time since Kate Middleton and Rose Hanbury have been seen in the same room together. Could Kate have possibly cut the cord on their friendship after all of the embarrassing reports? Maybe, although that has never been confirmed, too.

With that said, many blogs such as Celebitchy are hinting that Rose Hanbury might have played a role in the Tatler profile. The magazine suggested that Kate Middleton is none too pleased with all of the added workload that has been given to her ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family. One source even puts it this way, “Kate is furious about the larger workload. Of course she’s smiling and dressing appropriately but she doesn’t want this. She feels exhausted and trapped. She’s working as hard as a top CEO, who has to be wheeled out all the time, without the benefits of boundaries and plenty of holidays.”
And while Kensington Palace is up in arms over the profile, a spokesperson for Tatler Magazine says that the monarchy knew that the publication was working on a piece about Kate Middleton. She said, “Tatler’s Editor-in-Chief Richard Dennen stands behind the reporting of Anna Pasternak and her sources. Kensington Palace knew we were running the “Catherine the Great” cover months ago and we asked them to work together on it. The fact they are denying they ever knew is categorically false.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments to the allegations that have been made.
