According to the courtroom stenographer, Judy Bellinger, there were several jurors during the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard case that would repeatedly doze off and not pay attention to the depositions. During an interview with Law & Crime Network, Bellinger said, “There were a few jurors who were dozing off.”

She explained that there were a lot of video depositions and she would look over and see their head slowly start falling down during the hours and hours inside the courtroom. “There were a lot of video depositions and they would just sit there — and all of a sudden I’d see their head drop,” Bellinger told the network.

Depp V. Heard Stenographer Judy Bellinger Claims The Juror Would Doze Off During The Trial

The Depp v. Heard trial ended last week and the seven-person jury sided with Depp in their verdict. They awards him more than $10 million in damages and found Heard, 36, defamed him in her 2018 Washington Post op-ed about domestic abuse. Heard was awarded $2 million in her countersuit and plans to appeal the verdict.

Depp, who wasn’t there for the verdict, released a statement online shortly after saying that the “jury gave me my life back.”

Heard, on the hand, claimed that the verdict set women back and would allow domestic abuse to continue going strong saying, “sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated.”

Bellinger also had her share of drama in the court as she was accused of being hired by and partying with Johnny Depp, though the rumors were debunked by Emmy-winning Law & Crime correspondent Angenette Levy.

To celebrate his victory, Depp has joined TikTok, rocked out on stage, and enjoyed a $60,000 Indian food meal.
