Recently in a video on Ryland Adams’ channel, both Ryland and Shane talked about the potential move to Colorado. Of course Shane turned the whole thing into a joke like he most often does, saying how it would take the most perfect opportunity where he got ‘bubble guts in the best possible way’ and then proceeded to go to his usual gross-out humor, eh, Ryland laughed so we’ll give it a pass, but this wouldn’t be the first youtuber to move out of California.
Jeffree Star has changed homebases from LA to Colorado, Tati Westbrook has also changed home venues, from LA to Washington, even Jake and Logan Paul have moved out of LA, so what’s the deal? With Shane, I mean, you can kind of see it.
Is Shane Dawson moving?
He’s been “cancelled” for over a year now and hasn’t really posted on social media, then again he pretty much made a fortune while he was active and has enough left over to live several lifetimes – okay so he’s no Jeff Bezos and can’t rocket himself into space (although it seems many people would like that) but it looks like as far as fortunes go, Shane has made his.
But then came COVID and lockdown and a lot of people who did have savings (even though vast they may be) probably had to lean on those savings during lockdown times, and it seems that this has finally trickled down to wealthier people, such as youtubers.
It would only make sense that living in LA wouldn’t make sense fiscally anymore after the year that was 2020. Even for youtubers who were once worth millions and could easily just afford to stay put in their LA mansions, maybe last year forced them to take stock of their lives and realize that they’re just like the rest of us… just regular people.
Of course a lot of the ones who are moving have been cancelled (if not once, then several times) and were or are part of very expensive lawsuits that probably also played a role in their decisions to get as far away from their once fast-paced LA lifestyle as possible.
So where will the next community of youtube stars reside? Well, looks like Colorado is quickly becoming home to a lot of them, possibly Shane and Ryland, but we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
