‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are loving the integral story telling in Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)’s return, but for us the star is John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) as he’s added so many different levels.
It was recently shown that he was the one that recruited Jason for his team, but what that recruitment was hasn’t been explained yet.
With that in mind, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers think Jagger is really trying to help Sonny and not take him out.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – A Federal agent
While there can be corruption at any level, the fact that Jagger has been by the book across the board aside from one infraction with the Quatermaines, gives us reason to think there’s more to it.
For us, the fact he went to his hotel room to start drinking and then explained everything to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in a very heartfelt way that struck us odd if he was really trying to have Sonny killed.
If we’re right, then the limited flashback to Jagger approaching Jason was meant for us to take it out of context and that means Jason’s working with him to take down the people taking out mob bosses.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Imbedded agent
After finding Jason, no one would know his skill set more than Jagger since they knew each other since they were teenagers and he’s probably kept up with his career since as a member of the FBI.
Since we don’t know when the killings started, or the FBI may have learned of them early on, Jagger had Jason taken to become his asset.
While Jason said he was forced into service under dire circumstances, like maybe his family was threatened, it feels more like something else.
In this case, Sonny being killed could be the pressure that was applied to him and he agreed to help Jagger take down the killers.
Jason would then have to infiltrate the group, which the FBI could’ve orchestrated, under the name Jacob and worked his way into their confidence.
With Jason’s training and past, he’d be perfect for the killers to employ, and given his knowledge of Sonny it’d give him an in once he proved himself.
Now that things went sideways on his mission, Jagger is looking for him to access if Jason’s cover was blown and try to reinsert him into the mission.
It’s not even a real difficult story to tell, as long as the writers space it out properly and keep letting us discover leads, false of otherwise, regularly to keep us engaged.
