Meghan Markle is not known for her easygoing personality and respectful behavior. In fact, she’s known to be a big-time bully, and some of the world’s most prominent fashion magazines are no exception.

Meghan Was Banned From Being On The Cover Of British Vogue

Anna Wintour banned Meghan from being on the cover of British Vogue in September 2022 after Meghan tried to “micromanage” the magazine and Wintour herself.

Prior to marrying Prince Harry, Meghan was already demanding “the royal treatment.” Meghan had a long list of stipulations: to have the global cover of Vogue and appear on the front covers of the US and UK versions of Vogue simultaneously.

“Duchess Difficult” also wanted control over the photographer, writer, final edit, photos, and cover lines. No one has ever requested such outrageous perks or had this before. “Not even Beyonce,” they said.

Vogue’s editor, Edward Enninful, was livid over Meghan backing out of the story because she wasn’t allowed to grace the cover. Meghan’s team apparently insisted upon it.

Supermodel Linda Evangelista was already booked to be on the front cover. The magazine refused to meet Meghan’s demands. The result was Meghan’s infamous falling out with the publication.

Meghan Markle was also set to appear at the “One Young World Summit” in Manchester that September in collaboration with a splashy inside feature story, which Meghan wasn’t satisfied with.

When she did appear at the summit, she referenced herself a whopping 54 times during a seven-minute speech about gender equality. She also made it a point to recite her fake dish soap commercial story.

In September 2017, Meghan landed the cover of Vanity Fair. The then editor of the magazine, Graydon Carter, claimed that Meghan wasn’t only reluctant to answer questions about her relationship with Harry, but she was downright rude.

    She bluntly asked the reporter,

“Excuse me, but is this going to be all about Prince Harry?”

She didn’t seem to understand who was buttering her bread.

Meghan’s Negative Public Image Is Partly Due To Her Diva Act

Meghan wasn’t on the cover due to her acting work on the show, “Suits,” she was invited to interview because of her connection to the now fallen Prince.

    Carter admitted he

“Had no idea who Meghan was at the time.”

    And quipped that she was

“Slightly adrift on the facts and reality.”

Meghan Markle guest edited the September 2019 Forces for Change issue of British Vogue, which featured some “trailblazing change makers” on its cover.

Queen with Meghan at event and no Meg did not make her list of 15 women she admires

Critics noted that the Queen didn’t include Meghan on her list of “the 15 women she admired.” Nor did she include everyday heroes, such as teachers, doctors, and others. During this time, it was revealed that Meghan was doing next to no work for the royal family.

Former Tatler editor Tina Brown has also come forward to call out the Duchess’s negative behavior. She publicly denounced Meghan for “having the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world.”

“She’s flawless about getting it all wrong.”

    Brown said of Meghan.

“I mean, she just is a perfectionist at getting it all wrong.”

Meghan’s diva act reportedly often went too far, which explains her poor reputation and negative public image. And so, the enduring “we hate Meghan” campaign continues.
