On the Drama Investigator Youtube Channel there was a tiktokker who shared their own personal story about how security was handled at the Travis Scott concert, and it seemed to be a complete mess.

Obviously, she’s worked security before, she said a friend’s Uncle hooked her up with the gig and he took all her information, along with her husband’s, nephew’s and one of his friends’. Apparently when asked to work security you have to specify your height and weight, probably to make sure that you don’t bite off more than you can chew, physically.

Houston PD also implicated in Travis Scott concert

She said that right from the start things were sketchy because she was the only one who got emails from the event, none of the rest of them did in spite of giving the man the appropriate contact information. She said of the security job, the details were they were supposed to get paid, fed, and get into the concert for free.

They made the drive all the way from Dallas to Houston, which is a three and a half hour drive. She said originally there were around 900 security guards at the event, but in spite of there being a lot of security guards there, no one actually knew who was head of security.

There was also the rumors backstage that the new security that Travis’ team hired were not going to get hired, so a good portion of the guards actually left. That’s about the time that the head of security started playing favorites and picking and choosing who they wanted to get into the concert.

Originally, the tiktokker thought that she and her group were going to get sent home but as soon as they got to the car her husand recieved a text telling them that they were going to be admitted to the concert, that’s when things went south, she says.

She said that there were no bag searches performed, even though there were a ton of people who had brought bags and backpacks to the concert. She also said that there were no COVID testing at all, and that one girl had actually showed security a fake COVID-19 vaccination passport and gotten in that way, the girl was apparently really proud of that too.

She said that some of the security guards they hired seemed to not be qualified to do their job, and like they weren’t all there mentally, but this tiktokker also said that there were also instances where security guards were getting high, yes, getting high, before the concert.

    Ahem.

The Houston PD was right there, and did nothing. She also said that a lot of the actual work that was to be done by police was not actually being done by the Houston PD, rather, they were walking around recording on their phones enjoying the concert and not really doing any of the work, rather just relying upon what was technically volunteer staff.

The head of security was also too busy flirting with the female staff and making them feel uncomfortable to care about properly doing his job, it seems. That was when fans started leaping the gate and the security guards were doing nothing. These volunteer staff were given nothing to protect themselves with, no kind of gear, so the ones who had kids to go home to at the end of the day could only stand by and watch as rabid fans leapt the gate.

She also said that right before the concert they had to call their family members and tell them that they were okay but that service was not going to work for the duration of the concert which she personally found pretty sketchy because she said she had never worked an event before like that.

She also witnessed people using hard drugs in front of her, in front of the Houston Police Department – and the officers did nothing. She said, “If the Houston Police is not doing anything, what the hell can we do?” These people were doing hard drugs in front of Police Officers and children.

Lil’ Baby was the opening act for Travis Scott, during this opening act she said one of the concertgoers started “power up” and flew into a rage and said that police officers just stood by while some random bystanders had to hold the man down and drag him out.

The head of security was meanwhile up at the front row, enjoying the concert, not caring about the rampant drug use and rages that were going on in the back. After the opening act, when the tiktokker finally saw Head of Security again she asked him what they were supposed to do about it, his response was, “That’s what they do at concerts. That has nothing to do with us. We just have to make sure they don’t jump over the gates.”

Now eight people are dead. The tiktokker said this, that before people come for security working the event that they need to also look at the Houston  PD who were hired to do their job and were sadly negligent. This event sounds very badly organized, we can only hope that the families of those involved receive the justice they deserve. Stay tuned!!!
