It looks like trouble for Houston Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson as settlement talks have broken down between him and the 22 women suing him for sexual misconduct! According to the plaintiffs’ attorney, Tony Buzbee, nondisclosure agreements were submitted and the women did not want any part of them.

In March and April, Watson was accused of forcing women to perform oral sex on him, forcibly touching massage therapists and other women, as well as several other claims. He has denied any and all allegations and has said that any sexual contact was consensual.

Of course, this raises the question as to why there would be settlement discussions with nondisclosure agreements. If he had done nothing wrong, then why would he not want the women to say anything?

Watson was a first-round pick and started his first three seasons for them. Though, has been benched since the allegations and trade demands.

The Miami Dolphins were interested in trading for the star before the league trade deadline, however, this has squashed any and all trade talk for the quarterback. According to Pro Football Talk, Watson’s mediation played a major factor in canceling trade talks.

The Texans could release the quarterback now or agree to a buyout of his contract, a 4-year $156 million extension he signed last year. The NFL has been investigating Watson, 26, since March with the first of the women came forward with allegations.

With settlement talks coming to an end, it doesn’t look good for the former star who had a bright future in the NFL. Now criminal charges will probably be pursued and Watson could be looking at some harsh penalties.

What do you think? Do you think Watson is guilty and why do you think he would ask for nondisclosure agreements? Let us know in the comments below.
