Kendall Jenner has been blasted on social media after she decided to change a post on her Instagram in the aftermath of the stampede at Astroworld in Houston during Travis Scott’s performance which killed a reported eight people and injured others.

Kendall Jenner Is Slammed On Social Media Following Her Post In The Aftermath Of The Astroworld Tragedy

Kendall, for her part, was called out for being insensitive given that she had posted a picture of herself with a drink in her hand, looking all happy at the music festival.

The post at the time included the following caption: “Will you be at the mountain?” In the aftermath of the tragedy, though, Kendall decided to edit that picture.

Rather than removing it totally, which was probably the wisest thing to do given that people had died, Kendall simply decided to edit the caption by removing the words and replacing it with a mountain emoji. The response on social media was one of huge condemnation.

People simply could not understand why Kendall did not remove the picture, or at the very least not edit it or leave a message stating how her condolences were with the deceased’s family.

Failing to do any of that only meant that people came out in droves to express their criticism. One fan wrote: “Considering that you’re probably standing where someone died tonight, you might want to put this in your archive.”

While another stated: “Yeah, take a photo in front of the stage where people died. Really classy.” Naturally, the post is no longer on Kendall’s social media. This is understandable for the following reasons.

First of all, it was a sign of disrespect to all those that had died. Secondly, by removing it, she has managed to minimise the damage that has already been done to her reputation.

This is particularly important given that Kendall has spoken about the struggles she has experienced with social media in the past. She admitted to suffering from anxiety as a result of an addiction to social media.

Therefore, the best thing that she can do is take some time off in order to make sure that her mind is clear. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
