Wait up, is Alec Baldwin making some actual sense here? The Hollywood actor hinted that he believes New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo should resign if he indeed threatened Democratic lawmaker Ron Kim.
Cuomo right now is facing a lot of criticism over his scandal involving Covid-19 deaths at nursing homes, as some people that the initial number was underreported. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the New York Times, Cuomo apparently threatened Ron Kim over the nursing home scandal by reportedly telling him, “You will be destroyed” if he didn’t help him contain the damage over his administration’s cover-up of nursing home resident Covid-19 deaths. Kim’s uncle died of coronavirus in a nursing home last year. Kim said he got a phone call from the fellow-Democrat governor on the night of Feb. 11 that quickly turned dark, with Cuomo ultimately warning, “You have not seen my wrath.”
Kim also went on to say that Cuomo questioned him by asking him if he were an “honorable man” and proceeded to yell at him for ten minutes. Cuomo then threatened to publicly tarnish the assemblyman and urging him to issue a new statement clarifying his remarks.
Alec Baldwin being who he is, took to Twitter early Thursday, writing, “If Cuomo threatened Ron Kim’s career, Cuomo should resign.”
Alec is one of very few Hollywood stars who has openly criticized Andrew Cuomo over his recent string of controversies. Melissa DeRosa, secretary to the governor, told leading Empire State Democrats that the administration feared the data could “be used against us” by the Justice Department during a video conference call.
If all of the above weren’t enough, it seems like Cuomo meant what he said. He used his press briefing to lob allegations of impropriety at the assemblyman, saying that he and his administration have had a “long and hostile relationship” with Kim.
