While there’s no doubt that everyone loves a great throwback photo, in this case it might be the only thing Britney Spears is getting, especially when it comes to the time she spends with her kids. The chart topper couldn’t help but get emotional over a throwback post of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney currently only has 30 percent custody of her children, while her ex Kevin Federline has them 70 percent of the time. Here’s what you need to know.
“So bittersweet to see them get older … why can’t they just stay babies forever,” Britney captioned her post with, adding, “”They will always be MINE.”
Britney Spears Gets Emotional Over Sons In Throwback Post, But Is She Seeing Them?
Back in September, Britney also opened up about her boys on their respective birthdays. “My boys’ birthdays were last week … and unfortunately they are growing up and want to do their own things …. I have to ask their permission to post them because they are extremely independent little men,” Brit Brit wrote, explaining why she so rarely shares pics of her kids. “Anyway we had a small party and the coolest ice cream cakes. And girls get ready cause my boys are so handsome.”
Should Britney’s conservatorship completely end now that her father Jamie Spears has stepped down, it won’t have an impact on her children’s custody arrangement, according to Kevin Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan. He told Page Six in an interview, “If the conservatorship is lifted, I don’t view that as being an automatic change of circumstances that is going to change the custody order of the case.”
He also said that Britney and Kevin have reached a custody agreement that works out for their sons on their own terms. “You’ve got two teenage boys and between them, and the parents, whatever arrangement is going to be made … it’s got to be something that works with them, too,” Kaplan said.
“Just as the fact that she had a conservator didn’t decrease the amount of time she had, it’s not going to increase the time if she doesn’t have a conservator,” he added.
