Now that Britney Spears has one foot out of the door with her conservatorship, she says that she’s “disgusted” with the system that got her there in the first place. The chart topper admitted on Instagram that she is “fearful of doing something wrong” now that her father Jamie Spears’ conservatorship is coming to an end.
In a candid Instagram post, Britney said, “Lord have mercy on my family’s souls” if she ever gives an interview. Britney is currently regaining charge of her affairs for the first time since a court deemed her unfit in 2008 after she suffered a series of mental breakdowns.

Writing on Instagram, she said: “I’ll just be honest and say I’ve waited so long to be free from the situation I’m in … and now that it’s here I’m scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake !!!
“For so many years I was always told if I succeeded at things, it could end … and it never did !!! I worked so hard but now that it’s here and getting closer and closer to ending I’m very happy but there’s a lot of things that scare me !!!”
During her court hearing back in June, Britney said that she felt “enslaved” by her father Jamie Spears for performing endlessly while under his thumb. “In California, the only similar thing to this is called sex trafficking, making anyone work against their will, taking all their possessions away: credit card, phone, passport,” the “Slave 4 U” singer told the court over the phone.
Just last month Britney Spears scored a major victory in her conservatorship battle. Judge Brenda Penny suspended her father, James Spears, as conservator of her estate.
It was a move Britney and her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, have been pushing for in recent months. So far Britney herself has not made any comments about her future.
