Well, if Prince William wants to show someone that he means business by taking them to court, he should certainly flex his strength here.
The HBO Max cartoon “The Prince” is being slammed for mocking 8-year-old Prince George, as there are a lot of people out there who believe that when it comes to satire, children should be off limits. Here’s what you need to know.
“The Prince” was created by Gary Janetti, whose own Instagram account has mocked the royal family from Prince George’s point-of-view for many years now. The series supposedly gives a glimpse of what goes on behind closed doors, but through the eyes of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest child.

In it, the cartoon version of George says to a staff member: “Excuse me, do you have any tea that doesn’t taste like piss?” The 12-episode series (now streaming) also features Orlando Bloom as Prince Harry and Sophie Turner as Princess Charlotte.
Social media users reacting to the trailer criticized the show’s insensitive portrayal of Prince George, who is depicted as bratty and spoiled and strangely enough, is obsessed with Kelly Ripa. At one point, he even called his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth a “bad bitch.”
If that weren’t enough, Kate Middleton is portrayed as an alcoholic, Camilla Parker-Bowles is a mute while Prince Harry doesn’t know what a fridge is.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for critics to weigh in on the new series. Many of them took to social media to write, “I’ll probably watch at least on episode, but I can’t help but think that it’s morally wrong to include the children in something like this. We all know how cruel kids/teenagers can be – now if this show is successful, other kids will use it to mock and ridicule them for most of their schooling.”
Another critic wrote, “To me it is disgusting how they can legally make a tv show mocking an actual little child. I would understand if it was about adults who chose to be a public figure. But that child did not chose this, he was born to it. There should be laws against this,” along with, “It is very discouraging that one person’s mean-spirited musings were turned into a TV show. Bullying a young child is not funny nor is it entertainment.”
